So excited I couldn't sleep
I just watched the first half of the eight hour video posted of the MonaVie™ Vision convention. Wow! Definitely worth the watch.
Since I couldn't sleep, I was pondering on all these countries MonaVie™ is in and wondered where the growth is right now. I wondered over to Rank Advancements and looked at the countries represented in the pay period ending 6/25/2010. The United States makes a strong showing with no less than a third of the rank advancements that week. However, at Star 1000 and above the United States is consistently at around half of those showing.
What are the fastest up and coming countries? Malaysia and South Korea are the dominant countries (after the United States) up through Bronze and are pretty much neck and neck for second and third place.
Compare this to 2/5/2010, the last time I did this. The United States numbers are about half what they were then, but remember this is a snapshot. In January people get all fired up and go for a month or two. During summer people go on vacations, go to MonaVie™ Vision conferences, etc.
For those of us in the United States, MonaVie™ is still growing like crazy (new Emeralds: 1, Gold: 1, Silver: 9, Bronze: 15, Star 1000: 60, Star 500: 88, Star 108 just that one week). For those outside the United States, look at all the potential for growth you have.

MonaVie™ Growth Mostly Outside United States?
I saw a site claiming that most of MonaVie™'s growth is now outside the United States, and was basically saying that if you live in the United States, you're too late. Let's take a look at the numbers:
The advancements for the week of 2/5/2010 (Latest Advancements):
2 Puerto Rico
11 France
14 Israel
15 Australia
22 United Kingdom
25 Mexico
32 Poland
36 Brazil
52 Canada
139 Singapore
508 United States
Here is how many of each advancement level was from the United States:
1/1 Diamond
2/3 Ruby
4/6 Gold
6/10 Silver
29/49 Bronze
112/159 Star 1000
153/249 Star 500
202/380 Star
Other than Star (which United States accounts for only 50% of the new Star's) United States counts for about 2/3 of all advancing leaders. I'd say with growth like that, the United States is still a prime location to build your MonaVie™ business.
Remember that these numbers are just a snapshot of a random week. Feel free to visit the Weekly Rank Advancement site to see what the numbers look like each week. My guess is that they will pretty much be the same.

Secrets of Building a Successful MonaVie™ Business
I've seen several sites that purport "the secrets." If you are on TEAM MonaVie™, the real secrets are right in front of you, with proven results. I've seen people post things like "your upline is not telling you about leads generation he is using" or "are you still listening to your upline" or "do you follow the 3 foot rule still."
I'm going to give you the opposite advice of these people. I think most of them are trying to seduce you into something that is easier, but not necessarily effective (especially long term). I'd suggest that if something I say is contrary to what your mentor tells you, ignore me. The 3 foot rule is pure gold. Your upline, if they have a long-term business focus, is not using lead generation. True, there are flash in the pan Black Diamonds who qualify as Black Diamond once and then do maybe Ruby volume, if that.
I've bought leads before, and what I came to realize as I studied how people were using leads, is that there were a lot of shallow relationships. It became a full time job, not a real residual income. Because there were no deep, meaningful relationships, there was a lot of churn. You can make friends with 10, 100 or 1,000 people a week that you bring in. And so as they go on to the next shiny thing, you're left with having to replace them on a regular basis.
However, if I go out and register some people I know, or meet and get to know, and help them do the same, there is a lot better chance of them sticking around. And if I do it in a way that make duplication simple, then they have a high chance of duplicating my efforts.
I would rather have 10 people duplicating my efforts on my teams than 10,000 people signing up every week from leads. Why? Firstly, I know that of those 10,000 people, I'm going to have to replace a good chunk of them every week. So much for residual income. Secondly, that is going to leave a lot of dead bodies. What do I mean by dead bodies? A lot of people who will say "I tried that once and it didn't work." That was the real downfall of Amway. Just about everyone over 40 either "was in" Amway or knew someone who was and didn't make any money. It's not only bad for your business, or the company you are working with, it's bad for the industry in general to have dead bodies.
The real secret to building a MonaVie™ business? I'll share with you what TEAM has shared with me. This may work in other businesses also (depending on their compensation plan, which MonaVie™ changed to fit this model).
1. Register. It seems simple, but you actually have to register. Register with a two case first order and a two case auto ship. And no, I will not sponsor you (see my discussion on relationships above).
2. Ignore the binary. The compensation plan is not really a binary. Don't worry, TEAM approach turns it into a real binary. Look only at your personal enrollment trees.
3. Sponsor someone in your main leg as a personal. If you are on TEAM, your mentor or support team might do this for you. Either way, you need to start a personal enrollment leg.
4. Give away personals. Ideally you're going to help the personal you just registered register someone. However if they are not going as fast as you want, put some people on your list as a personal of the last person at the bottom of that personal enrollment tree. Everyone you're working with should only have one "personal" according to the website in their main team. This will help everyone in that personal enrollment leg get their first "check" and help them get excited.
5. Grow your first personal enrollment team 10 deep. This gives you experience and gives you more people to work with before you start your second team. The more people in a team, the easier it is to work with. If you start your second team without solidifying the first, you won't have the experience or the foundation and it will be a lot more work. You should get it 10 deep in no longer than four months. Any longer than that and you lose excitement. Faster is better. At least 2 of the 10 need to be people off your list that you worked with directly.
6. Start your second personal team on your second binary leg. Start someone off your list (or someone you meet) as your personal at the top of your second leg. Start again working to help them register some people. Again give away personals down in this team. This will be just like starting your first team, but your support team will not be putting any volume in it. You should have this team 5 deep in those first four months, and again, sooner is better.
7. Work the Volume Magic. So now you have, or are working towards, a personal enrollment leg of 10 deep and one of 5 deep. They are all people that you know. They are all getting at least one personal underneath them, so they all have their MonaVie™ cards. They are all on 2 case autoship (no more, no less). This is a great foundation. Now some people are going to need more than just 2 cases a month. This is where TEAM approach to volume comes in. As a team, all 16 of us agree to buy a case or two from the person at the bottom of one of the personal enrollment legs. The person at the bottom buys a bulk order (12 cases) and sells them to his support team for $100/case (more than $40/case less than buy a case at a time). This gives the 700 points volume to everyone, a discount on the product, a bulk order bonus to the person at the 2nd to last position. A lot of people get benefits from this and it can have some exciting effects.
8. Go faster. After going 10/5, identify 3 or 4 people in your main team and 1 to 2 people on your second team and help them go 10/5 by building the tap root 10 deep under them while working with them. The goal should be to go from 10/5 in four months to 10/5 every month. It may take a while to work it down from four months to one month, be going 10/5 every month will generate momentum and excitement.
9. Identify key relationships. As you are adding to the bottom of each of your two teams, you are building a relationship with each person. However, some people are going to stand out as go-getters. Take them along with you as you are working so they can see the details of how it is done.
10. Start your third team. Silver maxes out at $1,500/week. With the binary-in-a-binary TEAM approach, you only need two personals and your income will max out at around $6k/month. When you start getting near this limit, start your 3rd personal in your lesser binary leg. Help someone in that 3rd personal enrollment team go 10/5 and you lift the $1,500/week cap to $2,500/week cap.
11. Build solid legs. There have been a lot of people in MonaVie™ that were obsessed with reaching the pin levels. They did crazy stuff that was not sustainable long term just to reach a new pin level. Build solid legs with consistent weekly volume. Don't start a new personal enrollment leg until you start getting near the income limit for your pin. It is better to be making $72k/year as a Silver than making $50k/year as a Gold.
Building solid teams one at a time, with solid relationships in each team will give you a solid long term residual income. Don't be fooled by the flash in the pan gimmicks people are pandering on the internet. It is still about the people.

The Purpose of the Open Meeting
I think a lot of people are confused about the purpose of the TEAM MonaVie Open Meetings (Tuesdays). I've heard people say, "I don't have anyone to bring this week, so I won't be coming." Here are the reasons I see for the Open Meetings:
1. Reignite your fire. I've heard the message before. A lot. But hearing it again helps me remember why I am building my business.
2. Reinforce the main points of the plan. The Opens help me remember to keep the main thing the main thing for the plan.
3. Learn new exciting tidbits about the companies you work with. The speakers in the Open have access to "insider" information and many times let slip all sorts of cool tidbits.
4. Get to know (and be known by) the leaders at the Open. This becomes really important when you do bring someone. The leaders at the Open can better edify you to your new guy if they already know you. Big win for your business.
Make sure you do not miss an open. It is key in building your TEAM MonaVie business.

Claude Hamilton On Being a Champion
You can reach Star 500, Star 1000 and maybe even Bronze without reaching for excellence (and at $20k/year at Bronze, that's not shabby). To reach the Peaks, you have to strive to be a Champion, which means leaning from the Champions.
